Gneeveguilla played St Pats tonight away in the Co League. DJ O'Connor opened the scoring within a minute of play with a well taken point. Liam Murphy then kicked a free before St Pats got off the mark with a K Hurley 45. This was followed up by another 2 points by K Hurley before Liam Murphy kicked over a long range point leaving the scores 0-3 to 0-3 at half time. Gneeveguilla started the second half better with fine points from Liam Murphy and John Paul Brosnan. With 10 min gone in the second half a high ball into the square somehow resulted in a penalty to the amazement of both sets of supporters which was slotted away by K Hurley leaving the score 0-7 to 1-03.
